Hastings & District Obedience Dog Club
_
The Hastings & District Obedience Dog Club has always
been happy to embrace a variety of dog sports so its members don’t just
participate in Obedience. Members are
also active in Agility, Flyball, Tracking, Herding, Endurance, Conformation
etc. Consequently when, in 2008, one of our instructors started training with
Melbourne Canine Freestyle in Dances With Dogs, word quickly spread. Our pioneer was rapidly joined by a bunch of
other enthusiasts having fun whilst training in this new pastime. Since then
the sport has grown wings, helped by the formation of the Dances With Dogs Club
of Victoria.
The Hastings club has a history of running Trials in various disciplines so naturally we are keen to incorporate a Dances With Dogs Trial into our organised events. Well, why wouldn’t we be? It can be held indoors; music will be playing, people will be in costume, and there will be dancing!
We are happy to advise that we will be running our first Dances with Dogs Trial on June 23rd, 2012, at KCC Park. Schedule and entry forms are available for download on our Trials page.
