Canine Freestyle and HTM in South Australia
Canine Freestyle and Heelwork to Music are relatively new to South Australia, and as yet no competitions have been held there.
However, Sally Legg took her two Border Collies across to Sydney for their December 2009 competition where they gained South Australia's first DWD title. More information on the dogs and videos of their performances are on the SA Hall of Fame page.
Since Sally and Kenzie's title three other South Australian dogs and handler teams have since gained their first DWD titles. Jackie Pipe with Bella, Daniel McLoughlin with Skipper, and Jean Milnes with Dogo all travelled to Melbourne to compete at the end of 2010 and were successful in gaining the two required passes to achieve their DWDF.S titles.
2011 has seen further journeys to Victoria by an ever increasing number of SA competitors. It is anticipated that SA will be holding their own competitions in 2012!
