Canine Freestyle and HTM in South Australia

Canine Freestyle and Heelwork to Music are relatively new to South Australia, and as yet no competitions have been held there.

However, Sally Legg took her two Border Collies across to Sydney for their December competition where they gained South Australia's first DWD title. More information on the dogs and videos of their performances are on the SA Hall of Fame page.

There is currently a group of 10 called "Hip Hop Hounds" based in Silver Sands, Aldinga.  This group has been together for a couple of years, and so far have been doing freestyle 'just for fun', doing demonstrations at shopping centres, fetes, dog days, etc.  They are currently working hard with a view to competition in the near future.

There are also smaller groups and individuals doing Freestyle and HTM, who occasionally join together in demonstrations.  These groups all have one thing in common, they are positive based dog clubs, which have offered a form of Freestyle as a fun alternative to Obedience training.
